When the RIBA invited applications from Architects with 'suitable experience' for
accreditation on the new Conservation Register, Chris realised he had a fairly extensive

the required sensitivity to historic context and a knowledge of historic styles
and construction techniques.
There are a number of projects where Chris has been able to use this understanding
to add value; mediating between the demands of the project and the heritage context.
